Millions of Greeks against the IMF and the EU

ATHEN | 11 – 05 – 2010 | Hundreds of thousands workers in the private and public sector, unemployed, young people, pensioners, immigrants, small shopkeepers and more, filled the streets of all Greek cities on Wednesday, May the 5th 2010 during the general strike. These were the most populous and angry demonstrations in decades.
Güler Zere is dead!

İSTANBUL | 09 – 05 – 2010 | Güler Zere a former political prisoner of the DHKP-C has died in her home today at 16:50 PM in Armutlu/Istanbul because of cancer. Zere was 14 years in prison and because of ill treatment and bad conditions, torture she got cancer.
Labor Day was celebrated at Taksim square

ISTANBUL | 02 – 05 – 2010 | 1st of May is the historical day in where the international working class celebrates its labor day. One of these countries is Turkey, for decades the ruling classes in Turkey didn’t allow the workers to celebrate May Day, every time there were incidents in where state security forces attacked the masses. In some occasions people were also killed like on May 1st, 1977 36 people were killed again on May 1st 1978 Mehmet Kocadag was kidnapped by police forces, tortured and killed. On May 1st, 1996 three people died during the clashes with police forces in Istanbul.
