TURKEY | 10 – 12 – 2009 | The clashes of police state forces and the Kurdish people in Turkey and Turkey Kurdistan. has reached its highest point. Only last week more then 22 demonstrators were arrested for supposedly participating in an “illegal action”. Now on December 10th 2009, a demonstration initiated by the DTP in Van (region in Turkey/Kurdistan) for “democracy and peace” was brutally attacked. In the course of these clashes Kurdish patriots were throwing stones at the police station and army headquarter.
The police used pressurized water and beat demonstrators with sticks. Also demonstrations in other places and regions were the same. The police brutality in the cities in Turkey has also increased.
